March 31st 2008---- Web host Zanadoo introduced a new Virtual Private Server (VPS) as an alternative to dedicated servers. This new service of Zanadoo is geared towards consumers who do not want to incur the high cost associated with the environment and don’t want to require someone to be on site to physically make changes at the data centre.
The cost of dedicated server is $100 per month. The dedicated server provides the necessary performance and privacy to larger web sites or customers who need a dedicated server.
VPS can create a virtual server environment that operates in a similar fashion to dedicated hosting. Each VPS is having dedicated server resources allocated to it. Zanadoo VPS is operated through a web based control panel and it also offers other advantages over dedicated servers.
VPS allows multiple dedicated environment to get placed on a single server. The customer gets root access and can install any software they want and also get the power of a dedicated server. It’s totally different from shared hosting.
